Welcome to the Back In My Day Podcast, where we dive into the movies that defined our childhoods and family traditions.
Family movie nights have been a tradition in our house for years. With our son Max recently turning 12—such a classic coming-of-age year—we started to reflect on the movies that shaped us most at that age, and how they still stick with us today. Whether it’s a cherished classic or a hidden gem, these movies connect us across time, reminding us of the power of storytelling and the enduring magic of family movie nights.

For each episode we’ll be watching and discussing two movies. One is often a film that came out when we were Max’s age. Sometimes Max will pick a movie he’s loving. And you never know what Zach, our 9-year-old and self-appointed “mascot,” will bring to the table—besides his running color commentary!
